Want to see a Video made by a Mechanical Engineer who doesn't know much about Nuclear Reactors? He's good about describing materials, he just has the wrong idea (and video is too long...) http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=6e3_1196357966 I think space above "Kings Chamber" contained water and graphite to SCRAM the reactor, salt in "Queens Chamber" were scaling deposits from heating water.

Mohammad made it big in 'material handling', Jesus picked-up radiation science in Egypt. We use Gamma radiation to preserve food (they did it on Mummies), Neutrons to harden oil rings in engines (a hardened bronze sword will defeat a non-hardened one),Beta radiation to kill tumors(or cure Leprosy). An Ark of the Covenant that is radioactive would blind its Ethiopian Keepers with Cataracts(they die often). Alpha radiation causes scintillation in zinc-oxide(unearthly glow)in glazes. If you know how to be in two places at once, dying at one is no problem.

Carbon above the Kings (reactor) Chamber is a good Neutron Moderator.With a Neutron capture cross section of .0032 barns and a scatter cross section of 4.8 barns, it would take a average of 114 collisions to thermalize a Neutron."Back Scattering" is equivalent to diffuse reflection and can make a Neutron reflector. Graphite was the moderator in the first US reactor.

Tunnel Boring Machine- OLD SCHOOL using Indiana Jones Technology. The guy in the mentioned video was impressed by the construction of the tunnel beneath the Giza plateau, not deviating more then the thickness of a thumb-nail. If you need to tunnel in rock and have no explosives, you heat the rock with fire, then throw water on it and the rock shatters to pieces. If you had 'Shan Kara Stones' that get hot when placed next to each other(naturally radioactive meteorites?), you could heat the rock face with that. Water would crack the rocks and provide the energy to muck-out the tunnel. You would be left with a smooth tube and the ability to generate steam pressure. Put a piston in, and you have a big steam powered elevator you can use to lift heavy rocks.
